Programme Notes
This play brings to a close our 1958-9 season, and we are most appreciative of the support you have given to our productions during this, our first season in the Civic Theatre.
We have a busy time ahead of us. Our new season opens in this theatre on 16th September, with Kenneth Horne’s comedy “Love in a Mist,” which will be produced by Phyllis Dadd.
Meanwhile, we are preparing two one-act plays for inclusion in the Scunthorpe Drama Federation’s Festival, to be held here on Friday and Saturday of next week. As soon as the festival is over, we shall begin rehearsals of our September play, and also of “Toad of Toad Hall,” the play by A.A. Milne, based on the children’s classic story “Wind in the Willows,” by Kenneth Grahame. This will be presented in the Christmas holidays, and booking for this family attraction will start early in November.
