Lucky Sods
By John Godber
Tuesday 28th November - Saturday 2nd December 2000

The Hospital Players bring to the Plowright Theatre John Godber’s cruelly funny and compassionately brutal “Lucky Sods.”
Morris and Jean never seriously expect to win the National Lottery. When they do – to the tune of two million pounds – they can’t believe their luck. Their lives are irredeemably changed by the windfall – the question is, for better or worse?
Will Morris’s prophecy that bad luck always follows good turn out to be true? Can money buy happiness? Is enough ever enough? And how many friends and family do you really have?
John Godber addresses these questions with his customary wit and compassion in this sharply observed and brutally funny play.
Why not join the Players at the Plowright Theatre 28th November to 2nd December to see whether Morris and Jean deal with the money in the way you would expect to deal with your luck.
