The Hospital Players

It’s been another eventful season for The Hospital Players. We’ve been out and about, taking trips to see productions in Scarborough, Doddington Hall and Hull Truck, and we’ve enjoyed celebrating birthdays, Halloween and Christmas together.

A real highlight was our successful run of the spoof whodunnit Secondary Cause of Death in March, made even more special by the attendance of the author, Peter Gordon.

​

We also experienced some sadness. We said goodbye to two long‑standing friends of the group, James Allen and Paula Fawcett, both of whom had a long association with us. And due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel our September 2025 production.

​

Despite these challenges, we’ve bounced back. Our March play brought a real lift, ending the year on a positive note and reminding us why we love doing what we do. We’re heading into our 2026/27 season with renewed enthusiasm and are already looking forward to our next show in September.
